Overheard on the monitor Monday morning: "Hi Kai. You wake? Have good sleep? Awwww. See, Jett be very so nice."
I hope, when I look back on this next week or next month or next year, I remember the inflections in Jett's voice. How softly he said "hi" to Kai, and how long he drew out the sounds. How he lifted his voice at the end of each question, how he seemed like he sincerely wanted to know the answer to each one. How long he drew out the "Awwww." How happy he sounded when he said, "See, Jett be very so nice!" How he runs the last three words together - verysonice.
I love that little voice.
